2. Have a Website
These days, especially for small businesses that have a limited budget, the best way to bring in new business is through a website. The vast majority of people do some kind of internet search when they’re thinking about purchasing a product or a service so it’s important your firm has a basic online presence.
Your website doesn’t need to be an award-winning work of art – it just needs a few fundamental basic pieces of information. First of all, your company brand needs to look professional, so a good quality image of your logo is essential. You need up-to-date, correct contact information and I always say make sure you’ve got the phone number on every single page.
The written content of your site should reflect what you do and feature keywords that people might use when searching for the product or service you provide.
The more relevant your site is to people searching, the higher it will appear in search results. Contact details, the geographical area you serve and services you offer are all key ingredients for a good Google ranking. People who do this well get fantastic results. For small businesses with limited budgets it’s a great way to grow your company without making a massive investment.
